It belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. This increases the amount of blood flow into the penis, causing an erection. However, this medicine does not prevent your from having erection problems.Tell your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, or heart problems, a personal or financial situation that is not improving.

1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.

Cialis (tadalafil) is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow and facilitating an erection. It is also effective for preventing pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
Tadalafil belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping men to achieve and maintain an erection. Tadalafil works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which breaks down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), causing smooth muscle relaxation in the smooth muscle cells in the penis. This leads to increased blood flow, enabling an erection during sexual stimulation.
Tadalafil for ED works by inhibiting PDE5, which breaks down cGMP. This results in increased levels of cGMP, which relaxes the smooth muscle cells in the penis. This allows increased blood flow, enabling an erection.
Cialis is a generic medication used for the treatment of ED. Unlike brand name Cialis, Cialis offers more flexibility compared to some ED treatments.
